Specialties: Thoracic Surgery


Clinical Interests: Prof. Qiao is an expert in diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of various thoracic tumors and other thoracic diseases such as chest wall deformity, fracture, and palmar hyperhidrosis. Focusing on minimally invasive surgery for various thoracic diseases, he is the pioneer of uni-portal VATS surgical technique in China (2011), and is also a practitioner of robotic thoracic surgery. He also specializes in lung transplantation for end-stage lung diseases.


Bio: Prof. Qiao has been appointed as the clinical professor of 4 different universities, and have supervised 14 postgraduate and doctoral students to date. He devotes himself to the research area of precision medicine, covering from diagnosis, surgery and perioperative systemic therapies. He also commits to the public health education, and was therefore listed in “The Compile of Famous Doctors of Lingnan” and awarded as “Consummate Craftsman” in 2019.

Publications:

Prof. Qiao had published more than 100 research articles, of which more than 40 publications were indexed by SCI/SCIE. He is the editor of Journal of Thoracic Disease, Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery, and International Journal of Oncology. He also edited five monographs in the area of lung cancer, including Pulmonary Neuroendocrine Tumors, Brochioloalveolar Carcinoma, etc. Recent representative publications as first author or corresponding author including:
